3D Golf Swing Analysis System for Real-Time Training and Coaching.

SmartBay is a high-precision training system designed for golf academies, driving ranges, and performance centers. It combines radar sensors, high-speed cameras, and intelligent simulation algorithms to capture and analyze every detail of a golfer’s swing—transforming standard practice into data-driven, high-feedback sessions.

At the heart of the system is a multi-sensor setup that includes radar-based ball tracking, dual high-speed cameras (120+ fps), and a touchscreen interface for session control and review. The system activates automatically when a player approaches, capturing the final 0.8 seconds of motion before impact. Footage is recorded from side and rear angles, synced with swing metrics, and immediately made available for playback, annotation, and analysis.

Key data points—such as swing speed, launch angle, ball spin, shot efficiency, and carry distance—are visualized in real time, allowing players and coaches to spot adjustments instantly. A 3D shot simulation models ball trajectory using physics-based algorithms, giving instant feedback on performance and consistency.

The system is designed for seamless session flow. Players log in via facial recognition or QR code using the SmartBay mobile app, which links personal profiles to the bay. After each swing, the data and video are automatically stored in the cloud, where users can review, download, or share their footage. Coaches can draw overlays, mark angles, and create progress reports directly from the interface.

SmartBay also supports club fitting and equipment optimization—analyzing how swing dynamics interact with gear to suggest ideal club specifications. The system includes custom drills, challenge modes, and progression tools designed to enhance player development across skill levels.

For venues, SmartBay creates new engagement opportunities—keeping players on site longer, generating detailed usage metrics, and offering space for branded experiences or advertising overlays.

From architecture to UI, SmartBay was built with coaching in mind: fast, accurate, repeatable. It bridges the gap between athletic intuition and data feedback—giving players the information they need to improve, and coaches the tools to guide them with clarity.
