ARGOL project

Augmented Reality Soccer on Any Surface.

ARGOL is an AR soccer game that transforms any flat surface into a dynamic, competitive football pitch. Designed for mobile devices using ARKit and ARCore, the game blends fast-paced flick mechanics, real-time multiplayer, and spatial interaction into an experience that fits on a living room table—but plays like a stadium match.

Play immersive augmented reality soccer in your own home.

Players launch into free-kick and penalty shootout modes, controlling miniature footballers and scoring against AR goalkeepers in highly animated, small-format matches. The game overlays a full 3D field into the player’s physical environment, locking it in place and adjusting dynamically to changes in light and perspective. Shots are made through intuitive swipe and tap gestures, tuned for precision and speed.

ARGOL supports real-time online multiplayer built on Photon Networking, allowing players in different locations to compete instantly in head-to-head matches. The system includes latency compensation and prediction smoothing to ensure consistent responsiveness across devices and networks. Matchmaking, friend challenges, and global leaderboards keep the experience social and competitive.

To bring the world of ARGOL to life, we built detailed 3D models of players, stadium elements, and animated spectators—complete with realistic lighting, shadows, and surface interaction. Everything was tuned for mobile performance, ensuring that the game remained snappy and stable even during action-heavy sequences.

We also integrated a global chat system for live conversation between players, which required secure messaging protocols and thoughtful UX to balance interaction with immersion. The result is a system that feels active and connected, without overwhelming the core gameplay.

From a development standpoint, ARGOL was built as a fully mobile-native experience, prioritizing ease of use, short match cycles, and minimal setup. Core AR mechanics were prototyped early and refined through multiple test environments to ensure reliable tracking and satisfying motion, even in less-than-ideal lighting conditions.

ARGOL isn’t just about bringing soccer into your home, it’s about creating a new kind of play that fits where people already are. The field is small, but the competition is real.
